The Problem

Individuals on SNAP benefits and those experiencing severe food insecurity in the Portland and Vancouver areas struggled to find immediate, ready-to-eat meals. Existing resource maps were outdated, loaded too slowly, and wasted mobile data plans on bloated images.

The Solution & QA Approach

We engineered a lightweight application using minimal asset sizes to guarantee instant loading over weak data connections. Leveraging our QA background, we rigorously tested the interface to ensure users under high stress could navigate it seamlessly on any device.

The Problem

Local grassroots mutual aid organizations relied on disorganized social media feeds to field emergency help requests. Requests were regularly dropped and volunteers accidentally duplicated work.

The Solution & QA Approach

We built a secure, full CRUD task board tracking platform. Community members safely submit data, while authenticated volunteers claim and log fulfillment requests. We subjected the platform to heavy concurrency and edge-case functional testing to ensure database records never desynchronize or drop a request during peak community crises.
